This is a pic of my cat I have now, before his leg was taken off.

Here's another

I dedicate this thread to the now-known Bon-Bon, and the last, unforgotten Bon-Bon.

The New Cat: Part I
A few years ago, I went to my little cousin's birthday party, which was at my aunt's, my cousin's mother, mother's house. I was pretty bored, so I went exploring. I got into different things. But whilst I was being nosy, a stray cat came upon me. He had golden fur, and deep yellow eyes. He was beautiful, and being an animal lover, I just had to have him. I asked my aunt's mother if I could keep him, hence it being on her property. I convinced her to let me have him, then I had to get my mom and dad to agree. After awhile, they said I could have him. I was overjoyed, and brought him home with me. I named him Bon-Bon, after a very tasty sweet. He was more of a neighborhood cat than a certain person's cat, I began to notice over the weeks. Though he still came, and I really enjoyed playing with him. I began to notice he came around less frequently, and I thought he must be somewhere else...

Bon-Bon Comes Home: Part II
A year or two later, which is quite a few monthes ago our time now, I noticed a yellow cat that acted and looked exactly like Bon-Bon. It must be no mistake I thought, he has come home. My dad was always suspicious, saying that's not him, but I ignored him. Over the monthes, he stuck to us like glue, hardly ever leaving. I fed him everyday when I came home from school, and sat outside with him alot. Well, on one rather sunny afternoon not to long ago but a week or two, our neighbor came up the bottom our drive way in her car, and stepped out of it and went over to Bon-Bon. She had said this was here cat and a word or two more, not being hateful, and left with him. I was outraged, and was very, very furious. I wanted to march down there and give her a word or two and get my cat back. But mom held me back. An hour and a half later, she told me why she wouldn't. She told me that a year or two ago, that Bon-Bon didn't leave, he had died for some cause, and they never told me, because they didn't want to hurt me, and that cat was not truly ours. Of course I was sad, but I understood. But that same day the cat was taken, he came back. He stayed until one day, when we went to a hotel, only about a week ago, and he wasn't there when we got back, and hadn't returned for a few days...

Gun Shot and Wounded Heart: Part III
Well, the so-called Bon-Bon, or Siren, as the owner called it, did return, only yesterday night, and was wailing and limping rather badly. He mewed and mewed for help as he hid in terror under a table outside. The best thing we could do: Call the owner's mother, also our neighbor, so she can come get him. We are very good friend's with her mother, and she is also my school bus-driver. She came up there and got the cat, and she said she would take it to the vet along with some her dogs that were due to a check-up. We sat outside and talked for awhile, and then she left and I went to bed. The next day in the afternoon, on the way home in the bus, she told me that someone had shot the cat in the leg, and it's bone had been shattered. She then told me something that made my blood churn with anger and agony: The only way he could live is if the leg were taken off, and someone cat it inside. The reason the cat hadn't stayed with it's owner is because she owned dogs, along with her mother nearby, and they ran it off. This is why that she nor her daughter could properly care for the cat. If no one took it, they would put him to sleep. I wanted to take him in myself so badly, I told her I would try to convince my parents to let me take him. I got off the bus and asked, but they said it just couldn't happen, we've never had an inside cat or dog for many reasons; let alone it being handicap. I cried for many, many hours, trying one person to the next, seeing if anyone was willing to take him. Everyone had reasons why they couldn't, such as large inside dogs, mean cats that would hurt him, and other things. I finally stopped trying for the day, and relaxed a bit after awhile. Then, this morning, I got a phone call from the owner's mother. She said if I didn't find someone within an hour to take him, that they would be forced to put him to sleep. I asked my mom again, and she didn't say much. She went into another room for awhile, and came back saying that her and my dad decided that we would take him. I was overjoyed, happy as I could be. I called her back and told her were taking him. She was happy to, she loves animals, and would never want something like that to happen to him. She said she would pay for the surgery, shots, cleaning him up, getting the ticks removed, and other things. We have decided to keep his sleeping place in my room, and were working out other things to do when we can't keep him inside. She also offered to babysit him when were gone, and to help with anything possible. I am happy to say that this is my cat now, and his name remains Bon-Bon, in favor of the other loved cat.

This story has an happy ending, but also a sad ending for the true Bon-Bon. He will live happily now where he is, where all is peaceful. Monday is Bon-Bon's surgery, so please give hope and pray for him to come out all right. Thank you for taking the time to read the two cat's story.

Wow...you have been through quite a lot along with poor little Bon-Bon. First things first, he is just absolutely adorable and ironically enough i too used to have a beautiful golden cat visit me during the summer days...but he dissapeared. I still wonder where he is sometimes. I will pray my little heart out for Bon-Bon and i hope to god he will be alright. [which he definitely will...he has such a wonderful person waiting at home for him! How could he not?] :]

Aww, thanks. And I'm sure Bon-Bon would give his thanks to you as well =] Yeah; and somehow I managed to survive it all? xD I just can't wait till he comes home. I miss him :'[ But he will probably have to stay with the vet for a few days to have his shots/to heal; but it's still not far off.
